IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR PARENTS OF TIER ONE

As a parent of Tier One Gymnastics, there are procedures and guidelines that are important for you to know. For your convenience, we have listed them here. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact us!

Class Policies

At our facility, we prioritize safety, consistency, and positive experiences for all children participating in our gymnastics, dance, cheer, and NinjaZone classes. To ensure clarity and smooth operations, please review the following policies:

Tuition

Your monthly tuition is a set fee due on or before the 21st of each month, for the following month, to maintain your child’s enrollment. Our standard tuition rates cover an average of 4 classes per month.  Some months you will have 5 classes. The 5th class will replace short months due to holiday breaks. We can pro-rate classes for those who join at any time during the tuition cycle. You are paying for your child’s place in the class, not his or her attendance each month. Since we cannot be responsible for your child’s attendance, we do not refund or carry forward fees for missed classes.

Tier One Gymnastics offers two types of tuition payment methods:

  1. You must provide a credit or debit card, or ACH authorization, which can be billed on the 21st of each month.

  2. You may pay in person or by phone on or before the 21st of each month (we will still require a credit card to be held on file). If your payment is not received before the 21st we will charge the credit card on file on the 22nd of the month.

  3. If you would like to cancel your class enrollment, please notify Tier One in writing by the 15th to avoid being billed on the 22nd.

Cash, check, or credit card (Visa, MasterCard, and Discover) payments may be made at the front office, or checks (with the gymnast’s name) may be mailed to the gym where your child attends (must receive on or before the 21st to avoid the automatic billing). Checks may be mailed to 770 Hanford St Unit A, Geneseo, IL 61254

Questions about tuition can be directed to our front-office manager.

Late Fee

  • A $10 late fee will be added to your account balance if we are unable to process your payment or if it is received after the 22nd.  For team members, a $25 late fee will be applied if we are unable to process your payment or it is received after the 22nd.

Returned Check Policy

  • A $35 fee will be charged for each check returned for insufficient funds.

Sibling Discount

  • Tier One Gymnastics & Activity Center is a family-owned and operated business, and we love families! If you have more than one child actively enrolled, we will deduct 10% off regular tuition per month for each additional child, taken off the lowest tuition rate(s). Discount cannot be used for competitive classes.

Military Discount

  • Tier One honors our military families! If you are an active or reserve military member, with military ID, we will deduct 10% off regular tuition per month. However, this discount cannot be used for competitive classes, or combined with a sibling discount for multiple children. Please present your active/reserve military ID at the front desk and receive 10% off of all class tuition.

Class Information

Makeup Classes

Did you miss a class? We understand that occasional absences may occur due to unforeseen circumstances. Instead of refunds, we offer make-up tokens for missed classes!

  • Must be actively enrolled to schedule

  • 6 per year, per enrolled student

  • Must request day off 24 hours in advance to receive token

  • Expire 1 month after missed class date

  • May schedule within 7 days of desired makeup date

  • May schedule one per student, per program at a time

Open Enrollment

  • A gymnast may join a class at any time throughout the year, provided there are openings, and the age and ability level are appropriate. If your child changes classes during the year, any tuition previously paid will be transferred. We do not charge an extra fee to change classes!

Arrival and Pickup Procedures:

  • Please arrive promptly for scheduled classes to ensure a smooth transition and maximize instructional time.

  • Parents or guardians should accompany children to the facility and ensure timely pickup after class sessions.

  • Parents must come inside to pick up their child after class.

  • For safety reasons, children will not be released to individuals who are not listed as authorized pick-up contacts without prior arrangements.

Student Guidelines:

  • Participants should wear appropriate attire suitable for the specific class they are attending:

  • Gymnastics: Form-fitting athletic clothing that allows for ease of movement. Bare feet or gymnastics shoes are recommended.

  • Dance: Comfortable dancewear such as leotards, leggings, and dance shoes appropriate for the style of dance being taught.

  • Cheer: Cheerleading attire and footwear as specified by the instructor or program requirements.

  • NinjaZone: Flexible, athletic attire that permits freedom of movement. Bare feet or specialized footwear suitable for indoor activities may be required.

  • Please avoid wearing jewelry, loose clothing, or accessories that may pose safety hazards or impede movement during class.

  • Bring water to each class.

Behavior Expectations:

  • Participants are expected to demonstrate respect for instructors, peers, and facility equipment at all times.

  • Disruptive behavior or actions that compromise the safety and well-being of others will not be tolerated.

Communication and Feedback:

  • We encourage open communication between parents, instructors, and administrative staff to address any concerns or provide feedback regarding classes or program experiences.

  • Parents will receive periodic updates and progress reports on their child's participation and development in the program.

Withdrawal

  • If your child must withdraw, please put it in writing by the 15th of the month before your withdrawal date to avoid being billed on the 22nd. You are responsible for payment in full of your student’s tuition whether or not your student has attended class.  Please do not rely on your student to tell us that he/she will no longer be attending classes or assume we will automatically drop your child for not attending class. If a student stops attending class without withdrawal notification, then that student’s account will be charged for an additional 30 days. This charge is for holding the student's place in class instead of offering that place to another student on our waiting list. Our classes run the same schedule month-to-month so you do not have to contact us unless there are changes.  No refunds or credits are given. To un-enroll, please email info@tieronegeneseo.com.

Holiday Closings

  • Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and weekend, holiday break in December, Easter weekend, Memorial Day, and Independence Day (July 4th).

Weather-Related or Emergency Closings

  • We rarely cancel classes due to weather conditions. If we do cancel class, it will be announced on our Facebook page and via email. Please remember that we are not affiliated with local schools and do not always follow school closings.

  • In the event of inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances leading to class cancellations, participants will be notified promptly, and alternative arrangements or make-up options will be provided.

  • By adhering to these policies, we aim to create a positive and enriching environment where children can thrive and enjoy their learning experiences. Thank you for your cooperation and support in fostering a safe and rewarding atmosphere for all participants in our children's classes!
