School Age Gymnastics

Level 1 (Ages 4+)

This 55-minute class is perfect for new gymnasts or those just starting out in the sport. Gymnasts will focus on developing core strength, practicing handstands, bridges, cartwheels, splits, forward and backward rolls, and walkovers. This class focuses on floor only. Students will not train on bars, beam, and vault until they advance to level 2.

Level 2 (Ages 5+)

This 55-minute class is perfect if your child has mastered cartwheels, both forward and backward rolls, as well as flexibility and tuck jumps. In Level 2, gymnasts will work on walkovers, roundoffs, dive rolls, and backbends along with techniques for recovery. Additionally, this class will introduce gymnasts to the beam, bars, and vault.

Level 3 (ages 6+)

In order to advance to Level 3, gymnasts must be able to do walkovers, round-offs, dive rolls, and backbends. Level 3 gymnasts will start training more advanced techniques such as back handsprings, front tucks, round-off back handsprings, and various skill combinations. Gymnasts will also progress in their apparatus work, building on the foundational skills learned in Level 2.

Level 4 (Ages 6+)

Moving up to Level 4 requires students to nail down back handsprings, front tucks, and round-off back handsprings. In this 90-minute class, Level 4 gymnasts will focus on perfecting skills like doing aerials, round-off back handsprings, front handsprings, and back tucks. Gymnasts will also progress in their apparatus work, building on the skills learned in Level 3.

Level 5 (Ages 6+)

In this two-hour class, students will learn advanced skills like twisting layouts and aerial walkovers. Gymnasts will work on cleaning up their skills, floor tumbling, and new combinations. They will progress in their apparatus work, building on the skills learned in Level 4. Gymnasts in this class may consider working towards competing with our gymnastics team!
